Seungkwan said on Friday during a press conference
that the goal is be on Billboard’s charts. They want to top the Billboard
charts.
The group typically releases a new music on a Monday;
however, with “Your Choice,” was released on a Friday. There’s a reason for
that move, they’re targeting audiences in the U.S. and the Americas as well.
And think they’ll have more opportunities to perform on global shows, according
to Seungkwan.
“It’d be really nice to place our name on the main
Billboard charts. That would be really great and we’d get energized.” – S.Coups
Seventeen will be performing this coming Wednesday on
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as part of their U.S. invasion, while other shows have yet
to be announced.
Apparently all eyes are on the group to see if they
will become quadruple-million sellers, said Park Sun Young, the press
conference moderator. “Love” is the overarching theme of the record, and the
message behind “Your Choice,” Sun Young said, is that “Your Choice is more
important than mine.”
In the press conference, the group debuted the music
video for lead track “Ready to Love.” The music video sees Seventeen’s band
members strolling the streets on a summery, hyper-colored urban landscape with
messages of love plastered around.
According to DK, “It’s about feeling love for a friend
and being ready to courageously confess to that love.”
While Woozi added that, “This year, we’ll be working
with the theme of ‘love’ and we’ll be showing a much more mature expression of
love.”
