The race for the top summer song of 2021 is on, and BTS' Butter is leading the charts.

Billboard’s annual ‘Songs of the Summer’ chart returns
to Billboard.com, Tuesday 22nd June. So, what will be the no. 1 song
of the summer of 2021?
Songs of the Summer will have 20-positions that’s
running tally tracks the most popular titles based on the cumulative performance
of the weekly streaming-, airplays-, and sales- based Billboard Hot 100 chart
from Memorial Day through Labor Day, which means this will cover charts dated
June 12th through September 11th . Eventually, the top
song of the summer will be revealed at the end of the season.
Currently, BTS’ “Butter” is topping the charts at No.
1 on the Songs of the Summer survey, which is followed by Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good
4 U” at No. 2 and Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” featuring DaBaby, at No. 3. Rounding
out the top 5, Justin Bieber’s “Peaches,” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon,
ranks at No. 4 and “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic, the duo of Bruno Mars
and Anderson .Paak, places at No. 5.
Meanwhile, DaBaby’s “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch,
secured atop the 2020 Songs of the Summer chart, after Lil Nas X’s “Old Town
Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, that claimed the title back in 2019. Drake’s “In
My Feelings” took the top spot in 2018, following triumphs for Luis Fonsi and
Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber back in 2017, and Drake’s “One
Dance,” featuring WizKid and Kyla back in 2016.

until the end of the season and see who’s going to get the crown for No. 1 Songs
of Summer 2021.
