It’s no surprise that ‘Butter’ as the BTS’s second song performed in English will break the world record for debuting at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart this week, eventually unseating Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good for U.”

With its latest breaking world record, BTS now becomes
the seventh artist to earn the first four Hot 100 No.1 in less than a year,
joining the likes of The Beatles and Mariah Carey.
The latest record-breaking song had 32.2 million U.S.
streams and 242,800 units sold in the week ending 27th May,
according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The track also attracted 18.1 million
audience impressions on radio airplays.
Butter’s MV also did make a record-breaking debut when
it premiered on YouTube, where it attracted 3.9 million concurrent views during
its release back on 21st May. BTS broke their own record when ‘Butter’
surpassed ‘Dynamite’ that previously was holding the top spot with the largest
views when it debuted.
Smashing the top charts, again, isn’t what the group
has attained with ‘Butter,’ BTS members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and
Jungkook also has made world records.
Butter’s music video also set a new all-time record for
the most views on YouTube in the first 24 hours, the track attracted over 108.2
million on its first day. As of this publication, the music video already had
280 million views.
