BTS Jin shocked the ARMYs when he revealed, back in 2018, that they considered disbanding due to the amount of stress they were under.

We had a hard time mentally during the beginning of this year. While talking with each other, we even thought about disbanding.

In spite of these challenges, the members got themselves together and continued as a group.

I’m thankful to my members who decided to continue… I want to thank my members who always love me and to say thank you to ARMY for always loving us. Thank you.

During their recent guesting in tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, Jin and Suga talked about their near disbandment.

Jin also revealed that the members “weren’t too happy” about him mentioning their near disbandment.

Yet, Jin brought it up because he was thankful and relieved that they got through everything.

Back then, we had such a hard time. Those memories just came up in my mind, so I said that I was grateful and relieved that we are here after overcoming such moments.

Suga, on the other hand, also unveiled that they felt extremely pressured by the attention they were receiving. Although the members were truly grateful for all the fame and attention, they were starting to get scared.

We were pressured, as if… All we did was diligently do our job, but we then heard that we contributed to the nation, so we were so pressured.

Because of this, the members asked their agency, Big Hit Music, for a break. Their agency gladly agreed, and the members got a month’s break. This was one of the few breaks BTS got in their careers.

Allowing them to have a break really helped the members to refresh and reset their motivation.

The break refreshed us a lot, and when you take a break for a month, it makes you want to perform again.

From then on, BTS has been making history each year and continues to be a world phenomenal.
