‘Superman and Lois’ gets season 2 renewal from The CW which comes ahead of the DC Comics series’ second episode tonight. The 90-minute premiere of the series last week attracted 1.7 million viewers and brought CW its colossal Tuesday night audience since “The Flash”-“Roswell, New Mexico” combo back in January 29, 2019.

The show also indicated the largest viewership for a
DC series since “The Flash’s” “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover period
which aired on December 10, 2019.
“Superman & Lois” appears to be CW’s second-best
series premiere since “Batwoman” was launched last October, with the first-best
being fellow freshman drama “Walker,” which pulled in 2.43 million viewers when
it launched last month.
“The phenomenal multiplatform debut of ‘Superman &
Lois,’ which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming
basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the
talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially
in this challenging environment,” said CW chairman Mark Pedowitz. “We are
thrilled to now have two brand new bonafide hits in ‘Superman & Lois’ and ‘Walker,’
both of which have been renewed for next season along with 11 others of our
shows, further positioning us for continued strength and stability for next
season.”
