Jack Reynor to play a lead role in the Amazon series adaptation of the William Gibson novel, “The Peripheral.” He will play the role of Burton and will join previously announced cast members Chloe Grace Moretz and Gary Carr, with Moretz set to play Flynne and Carr to play as Wilf.

Based on the novel, Burton is Flynne’s brother and a
US Marine Corp veteran who served in the Haptic Recon unit.
Reynor’s most recent appearance is in the Russo
Brothers’ crime drama feature “Cherry.” Previously, he also starred in the A24
horror movie “Midsommar.” He also had feature credits which include “Transformers:
Age of Extinction,” “On the Basis of S*x,” “Detroit,” and “Sing Street.”
On TV shows, Reynor has starred in the CBS All Access
series “Strange Angel” and will appear in Season 2 of the Amazon anthology “Modern
Love.”
He also appeared previously in another Amazon anthology
as well, “Electric Dreams,” which was on the works of Philip K. Dick.
On the other hand, Reynor also wrote and directed a
short film titled “Bainne” starring Will Poulter.
“The Peripheral” was first adapted to series by Amazon
in 2019. The one-hour drama comes from writer and executive producer Scott B.
Smith. The series will be directed by Vincenzo Natali. Amazon and Warner Bros. Television
will produce.
