Evan Peters to Play Infamous Killer in Netflix’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story

Evan Peters, known for his iconic role as Quick Silver in X-Men movies and from the latest Disney+ Wanda Vision, is set to play the infamous serial killer in the upcoming Netflix limited series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Emmy award-winning actor, Richard Jenkins will play Dahmer’s father Lionel – a chemist who showed a young Jeffrey how to bleach and preserve animal bones. A technique Dahmer later used on his poor victims. Dahmer’s mother will be portrayed by Penelope Ann Miller.

The series shows the tale of one of America’s most infamous murderers, who was convicted of killing 15 men and boys, utilizing his methods like mutilation, necrophilia and cannibalism. 

Monster will center on the perspective of Dahmer’s victims and will also look at the police incapability and apathy allowing Dahmer to go on a multiyear murder spree, with being nearly arrested but later on will be freed by a justice system that saw him as a harmless local.

Ryan Murphy will be the co-creator along with regular writing partner Ian Brennan, whom Murphy has worked on Ratched, Hollywood and The Politician as well as Glee and Scream Queens. The series will be directed by Carl Franklin with Janet Mock who will also be writing and directing several episodes of the series.
