Although
Warner Bros has stood in defense of the 34-year-old star during her ongoing
legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, the studio has reportedly
ditched Heard from appearing in ‘Aquaman 2,’ and are apparently replacing her
with “Game of Thrones” actress, Emilia Clarke, who had been a fan-requested favorite
to replace Heard.
This happens in the midst of a global push for Heard’s
exit, including an online petition worth over 1 million signatures from netizens.
News about Amber Heard’s alleged dismissal from ‘Aquaman
2’ was first reported by the Australian entertainment news site, Sausage Roll,
whose sources claim the star was dismissed for a breach in her contract having
to do with a health and fitness clause.
“Amber Heard did not pass her physical examination.
She’s put on some pounds and is in terrible shape. There is a clause in her
contract which says she is required to be in good form ahead of shooting and
she violated that,” Sausage Roll reported.
While the validity of Amber Heard’s booting has not
been confirmed by either Warner Bros. or the actress, fans online are already
celebrating with memes claiming victory in the war against Heard.
“Guys... I think Amber Heard just got fired from
Aquaman 2... we actually did it?!” one comment read.
This scorn for Amber Heard has been ongoing for quite
a while because they believe Heard allegedly manipulated the legal system while
she herself was the abuser in her relationship with Johnny Depp, fans of Depp stood
together for an online petition that has since been signed over 1.8 million
times.
Amber Heard has not yet reacted nor made an official
statement regarding the alleged dismissal from ‘Aquaman 2.’
