According to sources, a hearing was held in Los
Angeles where lawyers for Lanez argued the protective order barring their
client, Lanez, from talking about the case is ‘unfair’ due to it not applying
to Megan.
Tory Lanez plead not guilty to multiple felonies
connected to the case including, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and
carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.

Megan has been very vocal about the shooting incident
tweeting – “B---h you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND B---H YOU GOING TO
JAIL.”
“Yes, this n---a Tory shot me,” Megan claimed on her
Instagram. She added, “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people
going to these blogs lyin’ and s---t. Stop lyin’. Why lie?”
During the hearing in Los Angeles, Tory Lanez’s lawyer
Shawn Holley told the judge, “I think in a perfect world, no one would be able
to say anything. My goal is to be fair.”
“I don’t know how I can sit idly by when the
complaining witness and her lawyer speak to the media,” she continued.
Megan’s legal counsel previously told the media, after
Tony’s request to speak publicly about the case was filed, saying “Did the
motion fail to mention that there was gunshot residue on his hands or that he
texted her ‘Sorry?’ I haven’t had a chance to read it.”
Eventually, the judge has denied Tory’s request to
lift the gag order, while Megan remains free to discuss the case.
“We have two high-profile celebrities named as the
defendant and the alleged victim in this case,” said the judge. “The last thing
I think anyone wants is for social media to become part of the evidence in the
case,” the judge added.
Although it is unclear, as of this writing, if the judge
has issued a warning on both parties to stop discussing the case online.
