The Westworld actress named Manson, real name Brian Warner, in her Instagram post detailing the allegations. She has previously spoken about being the survivor of domestic violence but until this point had never called out her abuser. The couple were known to have had a relationship in 2007, when Evan Rachel was 19 and Manson was 38, and they were briefly engaged back in 2010.

In the post from Wood, which is in full below, she says Manson began grooming her as a teenager and that she was “brainwashed and manipulated into submission” by the singer. She says she wants to “expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him”.

Marilyn Manson responded, posted on Instagram, to the allegations of abuse from his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood.

“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” the singer-actor posted wrote on Instagram (see the post below). “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”

At least three other women have posted their own allegations against Manson on Instagram, one of whom has since deleted her post. This was after Manson posted his response to Wood's allegations.
